The CHS community joined countless others around the globe on Monday, 4/8 to watch the solar eclipse as it passed over Colorado on its way to totality. Peak coverage (around 65%) was reached at 12:30 in the middle of 5th period.Several science teachers brought eclipse glasses to share, and students and staff alike gathered in front of the school to look up in awe. Many attempted to take pictures by placing their glasses over their camera lens, and some utilized methods such as poking a pinhole in a paper to view the eclipse safely without glasses. The next total solar eclipse that will pass over Colorado won’t occur until 2045.
