Ms. Ferguson poses with Zeke Webber (’25), a student in her first period pre-calc class.

There are many teachers at Centaurus with a good sense of style, so I decided to ask one of them about it: Mrs. Ferguson (she/her). Many of her students think that she has a good sense of style; she was reccomended as one of the most stylish teachers.  She teaches precalculus and AVID 10.

Mrs. Ferguson would describe her style as “comfortable, feel good, and cutting-edge.” She gets her inspiration from “Instagram- [I] just look and follow a bunch of influencers.” She added, “Shopping should be fun. I find clothes at thrift stores, Target, and high-end stores. I love to mix and match brands. I am also always looking for a sale or deal.” She likes to wear “stylish but comfortable clothing. It makes me feel confident.” She believes that comfort is more important than looks and functionality because “at school, comfort is so important. I am standing and walking for most of the day.” I asked her if her job as a teacher impacts her style. She responded “My job does impact my style. Some days I feel sassy and wear some fun heels, but mostly just comfortable shoes or sneakers.”

All in all, Mrs. Ferguson has a very good sense of style and it was interesting to learn about the decisions behind it.
