A few weeks ago, Beth, sitting in her ELA 10 class, threw a huge temper tantrum. She threw desks, chairs, books, the ceiling lights (which she got to by climbing a stack of chairs and pulling aggressively at the lights) and even shoved 5 students all around the classroom. Many students pulled out their phones to record and post the wild girl to their YouTube channels.
You’re likely reading this wondering what could’ve caused such a scene to happen. Well, it all started out when Beth was feeling a little irritated and distracted in her English class because of her classmates’ chatty behavior. At first she decided to ignore it, but the chatting turned into students playing shooting games and music at full volume. Beth, not wanting to cause any conflict, politely asked her peers to keep the noise down but they didn’t no matter how many times she asked. She complained to Ms. Bouska about the noise, begging her to make the class quiet, which she was able to do for the time she was in class, but once she left, the classroom became loud again.
At this point in time, Beth heard so many loud sounds she could no longer contain herself. She got out of her seat and threw a desk out the window while screaming, “I’M DONE WITH THIS NOISE!” She then went about the classroom throwing objects around while shouting things like, “I HATE THIS NOISE!” “YOU GUYS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SHUT UP!” and “I”LL THROW THESE CHAIRS AT ALL OF YOU IF YOU DON’T BE QUIET!”.
When Ms. Bouska came back to teach class, she was so shocked to witness the horrific mess that she called security to escort Beth home. Security told Beth’s parents about the chaos their kid caused in English class and strictly warned her parents, “If you don’t get your kid under control she will go to jail.” Those words really stuck to Beth’s parents. They looked at their daughter with worried eyes, wondering what the consequences of her future behavior will be, “Will Beth become America’s next serial killer?” “Will Beth have to be locked away from society?” The worrying thoughts kept flooding their heads so they put Beth in a Lafayette mental hospital before she could do anymore damage.
Within just 2 weeks of Beth being in the mental hospital, her parents got a call from the mental hospital saying that Beth had escaped by headbutting a window on the 4th floor and jumping out while shouting “I’M FREE!” Beth’s parents were worried sick about their daughter and called a search and rescue party to find Beth. After 7 months of waiting, there was a knock on her parent’s door When they went to open it, they saw one of the search and rescue members standing terrified at the door while holding a photo of Beth running on all fours in the woods and chasing a rabbit. He looked into their eyes and said “We are so sorry we couldn’t save your daughter.” Beth’s parents’ moods shifted from worried to sad, they couldn’t be with their kid anymore because of how wild she became, but they were happy to see that Beth found her true home. They looked at each other and at the same time they said “We hope Beth is enjoying her new life!”
